It finally happened. I got in my first car accident. I mean, I have been in several car accidents (more than usual I’ve been told) but this was the first one where I was driving. I will try to preempt your questions after the jump!
1) I am ok. No, I am not hurt. Yes, I am a little shaken up.
2) It was my fault. I was behind a tow truck in bumper to bumper traffic and I honestly didn’t realize how close I was to his tow hitch.
3) My car is fine. There was a little cosmetic damage but nothing to serious. His tow hitch went into my plastic grills, really only cracked the plastic. In fact you can barely tell.
4)He let me gooo! I mean, his tow truck would have won in any battle, so a 5 mph hit didn’t even phase his tow hitch. There was definitely more damage on my car and the deductible is probably more expensive than actually gluing the cracked plastic back together.
5) Yes, I will definitely be more careful. Trust me, you only need one accident, no more how small to really “sober” up your focus.
