so this is a little personal but i need truth on this matter. in certain situations, can having the upper hand mean the opposite? for example, in my current situation im avoiding someone.
not in a jerk way but becuase this person hurt me and i tried to tell them and they didnt listen so i feel i have nothing to say and rather than fake being nice, i think ignoring him is the best way for me. through this i have the upper hand. im not giving him the attention he is craving and not feeding into his life.
while telling this theory to a friend, she told me that i infact was wrong and that he has the upper hand becuase by avoiding him, its letting him know that what he did is still bothering me.
now im confused. do i have the upper hand? or does he? its not a battle or anything but merely a perk in our situation until i feel that we can be friends again. well not until i feel, but until the time is right for us to work things out.
